The main political event of the week was the meeting of the Presidents of Russia and the United States in Geneva, which took place on June 16. It is not worth waiting for the results quickly – Joe Biden said that the outcome of the meeting with Vladimir Putin will be clear in six months or a year. Moscow this week became hostage to the plague of coronavirus – the capital’s authorities returned to harsh measures, first banning them from sitting on city benches and then forcing all employees of social institutions and food establishments to be vaccinated. In Tatarstan, there is no talk of a lockdown yet, but Rospotrebnadzor warns that there is a risk of an increase in the impact. This week, the court resumed hearing on the case of former banker Musin, a center for the treatment of children with oncology and hematological diseases opened in Kazan and KFU climatologists have issued their version for next summer – you certainly will not be cold.

In Moscow and elsewhere, Covid is growing again, so far in Tatarstan it is calm

The June weekend in Moscow was extended for a week and new restrictions were introduced – the Indian Covid executive is raging there. Preventive measures are being tightened in other areas, including Bashkortostan.

The chief health doctor of Moscow signed a decree on the mandatory vaccination of catering workers, social workers, doctors, teachers, taxi drivers and representatives of other professions that come into contact with the population. On Friday, the capital’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, extended additional restrictive measures against the coronavirus until June 29.

The Tatarstan authorities have decided not to introduce new restrictions yet. According to the head of the presidential press service, Lilia Galimova, the decision of each region on this issue is influenced by the epidemiological situation. In Tatarstan, “we assume that the rate of vaccination directly affects the stability of the situation,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Sadykov complained about the low vaccination rates of the population in the republic and Russia as a whole: “Israel has been vaccinated by more than 90%. 800 million Chinese have been vaccinated. In the US, many are vaccinated. In Russia, vaccination is very difficult, in Tatarstan – 428 thousand people in total! In addition, we have three types of vaccines. ” Meanwhile, the severity of the disease is increasing due to mutations in the virus. The new executives make seriously ill not only the representatives of the older generation, but also the young ones. Compared to 2020, the doses of drugs for treatment must be doubled – a mutated virus is not so easy to overcome.

On Friday, Tatarstan’s chief health doctor, Marina Patiasina, said that the issue of compulsory vaccination in the republic had been discussed, but there were no reasons for its introduction yet. At the same time, 44 coronavirus strains have already been registered in Tatarstan, Patyashina said. So far, we do not have the conditions to impose strict restrictions, as in Moscow, but the risk of worsening the epidemiological situation remains.

Immigrant record line

More than 100 migrants gathered after the weekend near the building of the Republican Department of the Interior’s Immigration Department in Kazan. A video of the shooting near the passport and visa service at 77 Gavrilov Street hit social media.

Most people came to renew the registration, which ended on June 15. The situation was checked by police, passing several guests at the reception. Some filled out applications right on the street. Before such full queues in the control building did not arise.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin extended the period of temporary stay in Russia of foreign citizens who have no reason to stay until September 30.

Shots fired in Kazan, fire in Gelabuga

On June 15, the Azino-2 police station in Kazan received a message that shots had been fired at Sakharova 27, near kindergarten No. 261. It turned out that two men started arguing with the taxi driver, who shot several times in the air from a traumatic pistol and left. No one was injured during the clashes.

Cultural heritage sites continue to burn in Tatarstan. This week a fire broke out in Yelabuga, the building of the banking and commercial workers’ club, built in the 19th century, burning an object of regional cultural heritage. The prosecutor’s office is checking, according to the preliminary version of the investigation, the building was set on fire. It is being checked whether two teenagers who drank alcohol and smoked in the building are involved in this incident. The Commission of Inquiry into the Republic of Tatarstan has opened criminal cases for the destruction or damage of cultural heritage sites, as well as for negligence on the part of officials of the Yelabuga District Executive Committee.

To keep children healthy

On Friday, the Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Surgery Center opened in Kazan based on the Pediatric Clinical Hospital. It became the third in Russia after the Rogachev Center in Moscow and the St. Petersburg Cancer Center and will accept children not only from Tatarstan, but also from the Volga Federal District. A large clinic was built as part of the national Health project for 2.2 billion rubles, of which just over half was federal funds.

A bone marrow transplant will be performed here – often that alone helps save a child with cancer. Until now, children with cancer who needed such a transplant were sent to Moscow and Yekaterinburg. The center has a capacity of 100 beds.

The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Oleg Gridnev. It is true that it was mentioned in advance that Mikhail Murashko will arrive, but at the last minute there was a replacement.

The defense asked to reject a dozen years

The trial of the head of Tatfondbank continued this week. During the meeting, Robert Musin’s lawyer, Alexei Klyukin, stated that his client had not committed any serious crimes and suggested that the court remove ten years from the 14 years and 9 months requested by prosecutors.

The lawyer’s speech lasted two hours, he analyzed in detail all six episodes in which the former presidents of the bank are accused. He stated that “his client partially recognizes five episodes and does not recognize one (assignment of rights to 2.7 billion)”. The lawyer also demanded that the DIA victim’s civil claim for 47.2 billion rubles be rejected and also asked for the period of isolation of the accused from society (taking into account the time in SIZO and home arrest), which has already taken place. amounts to 4 years and 8 months

In turn, during the court hearing, prosecutors asked for Musin’s house arrest to be extended for another 3 months – until October 4. The defense did not object and the court accepted the request. Most likely, the court will give the last word to the detainee on July 27.

Oh hot summer

KFU scientists predict hot and still hot summer in Tatarstan. The heat trend occurred in May, when the air temperature in Kazan reached the highest level of all time and summer came a month earlier.

The university says global warming is the cause – since 1900, the average temperature on Earth has risen by 2 degrees.

Gardeners and summer residents do not need to worry – there will be no June frosts, the soil is already well warmed. On the other hand, the risk of fire rises sharply and in some areas of Tatarstan can reach the 5th category.
