The snow has not yet melted in the Russian plain and many are already wondering what will happen in Russia this summer.
And this is not surprising, because summer is an opportunity to warm your bones in the mild sun, to treat yourself with water procedures in the fresh air, to relax in cottages, in nature or just to spend time with family and your friends in city parks and squares.
However, in order for all this to take place without serious problems, a suitable climatic situation is needed. Of course, we all know that nature does not have bad weather. However, it is much more pleasant when this same weather does not bring unpleasant surprises.
But, as meteorologists warn, the summer of 2022 as a whole will be terrible and will not pass without a series of abnormal floods – temperature changes, rain, storms, hurricanes, bulimia, flattering fires and many other climate problems await us.
However, the Russians are promised many dry, hot days. What will the summer of 2022 be like? What awaits the Russian plain from June to August 2022?
What will the weather be like in the summer of 2022? Forecast of the Hydrometeorological Center for the summer of 2022
Long-term forecasts are a daunting task. And many, even the most respected experts, very often make mistakes in their weather forecasts, which is perfectly understandable. Meteorological science, unfortunately, is not yet able to determine with a degree of accuracy one or two months in advance what will happen to the climate situation there.
However, such efforts are made, among others, by meteorologists of the Hydrometeorological Center. Thus, the scientific director of this department, Roman Vilfand, suggested that in June-July 2022, in most parts of the Russian plain, generally warm weather is expected with a temperature background close to or above the norm.
But unusually low temperatures are not yet expected for next summer. In addition, in the northern half of European Russia, in Western Siberia, in the Urals, as well as in the northern part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, thermometers will appear significantly above the climatic norm. In addition, there may be a lack of rainfall.
In July, according to the Hydrometeorological Center, the temperature in most of the territory of the Russian Federation will also be close to or above the norm, no cold weather is expected.
It will be hot in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the second month of the calendar summer 2022, in some places even very hot. Unusually high temperatures, in particular, are possible in the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Stavropol and the North Caucasus.
But in Taimyr, YaNAO, in the north of the country and in the center of Krasnoyarsk Territory, the rule will be in everything – both in degrees and in the amount of rainfall.
In the western half of European Russia, in the south of western Siberia, in Kolyma, Yakutia and Chukotka, we expect a lack of rainfall in July.
In the regions of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Samara, Volgograd and Nizhny Novgorod, there is a high probability of fires, which will be the result of unusually high temperatures and a large number of completely dry days.
“Of course, while all of this is tentative, therefore, the most accurate predictions will naturally differ in the future,” Wilfand said.
Rains, thunderstorms, hurricanes and unusual heat. What weather do we promise in August 2022?
If the weather in Russia in June-July is relatively beautiful and gentle, then this can not be said with certainty about August.
As meteorologists cautiously warn in the last month of the calendar summer, the Russian plain awaits all possible meteorological tests – thunderstorms, storms, hurricanes and unusual heat.
Of course, they will not be everywhere and not all at once. Moreover, while the prediction is exclusively preliminary, the poet should deal with it calmly and even somewhere with great skepticism. But it’s still worth listening to – as you know, forewarned is forearmed.
And there is something to listen to. In particular, experts warn that throughout August the Russian plain will be tested by elevated temperatures and not only by them. Thus, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as in other cities of the center and northwest of the country, the air in some places will heat up to 35-40 degrees.
It is true that the city on the Neva, as well as the areas of Leningrad, Pskov, Novgorod and Vologda will be washed away by storms, which, however, is more of a plus than a minus. Of course, few people will be frightened by the rain or hail, but the promises of meteorologists for strong gusts of wind, which in some areas of the northwest may degenerate into catastrophic hurricanes, are already worrying.
Extremely unstable weather, according to meteorological forecasts, awaits the Far East, where all possible climate idioms will manifest at the same time: these are differences between the heat during the day and a sharp cold at night, storms and hail and thunderstorms, calm.
Unusual heat with strong winds is more than enough for the Urals and Siberia. Here, among other things, such rains will fall in places where there is a high probability of severe floods.
Floods are also possible in Crimea and Krasnodar Territory. And in the seaside resorts of these Russian regions, not only strong winds are expected, but also storms with hurricanes and possibly tornadoes.
In general, according to the long-term forecast of meteorologists, in the last month of the calendar summer of 2022 there will be a significant exceedance of the climate rule. A slight chill will come to Russia no earlier than the beginning of the calendar autumn.
Such a terrible summer of 2022 awaits us. However, this is only a preliminary prediction. The start of the summer of 2022 is still almost two months away. It may be the closest, but still the future. For now, then, let’s focus on the present. And what will happen there in the summer, we will soon see for ourselves.
