Yakutia all the years of its existence has always been a forge of gold and foreign exchange reserves of our country: gold, silver, diamonds and other precious metals and stones. Fortunately, their stocks in Yakutia are large. They were mined and handed over in the 20s and 30s, during the years of the Great Patriotic War. It continued in the future, thus strengthening the economic power of our state. I am confident that Yakutia will continue to serve as a basis for strengthening this economic power of the Russian state.

I am glad that today we are opening an exhibition in which the Yakuts and the visitors of our republic will be able to see the treasures for which our country is proud and admired by the whole world.

Once again, everyone with celebrations, success, health and prosperity! “ – said the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev at the opening of the exhibition.

Residents and visitors of Yakutsk will be able to get acquainted with exceptional jewelry works of art, unique gold nuggets mined in the territory of Yakutia and famous diamonds named after prominent personalities of the republic – Platon Oyunsky, Maxim Ammosov, Isidor Barak.

The exhibition is an exhibition of personalized diamonds, which were exhibited for the first time in Yakutia. The management of the company decided to organize this exhibition especially in honor of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of Yakutia. Thus, diamonds were made, unique in their characteristics, both about our democracy and others, with which the inhabitants of the democracy are already familiar. When you see these diamonds, you inadvertently think about what sometimes strange shapes nature created for them. Here are presented both jewelry and technical diamonds and quite large size. Among them are also the diamonds “President Mikhail Nikolaev”, “Vyacheslav Shtyrov”, “Galina Danchikova”, “Honorary Worker of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) GP Yakovlev”, “Professor Avksenty Mordinov”, “Egor Kychkin”.

The exhibition also presents the Ministry of Finance of the Republic (Yakutia), Bagel, Snezhinka, Skull, Yakutsk-350, Anabar, Lena River diamonds, welded twin diamonds Yin and “Yang” (black and yellow) and others. We present you a mini photo report with inscribed diamonds found by the ALROSA group of companies. We have already written about some diamonds in more detail.

“Kyndykan”

A yellow-brown diamond was discovered in 2021 in a slate deposit in the Oleneksky area northwest of Yakutia. A yellow-brown diamond measuring 25x16x22 mm weighs 91.86 carats. ALROSA named this Kyndykan crystal after a little girl, the heroine of folklore Even. According to legend, 200 years ago, Yakut hunters in a family camp not far from the mountains of Verkhoyansk found a girl who miraculously survived. The rest of the inhabitants of the settlement died of smallpox. Over time, Kyndykan became a popular heroine – a symbol of the resilience and spiritual strength of the Evens, the indigenous peoples of Yakutia.

“Akinfeev”

Unique look in a diamond – the stone looks exactly like a soccer ball. The diamond was mined on July 4, 2018 in the Karpinskogo-1 pipe in the Arkhangelsk region, which is being developed by the subsidiary ALROSA PJSC Severalmaz. The stone has a mass of 0.5 carats and dimensions of 3.5 x 3.2 mm.

“Despite its small size, this is a unique find. Nature creates various strange shapes, but we came across a diamond in the shape of a soccer ball for the first time in our training. “We hope this is a good sign on the eve of Russia’s appearance in the quarterfinals.”– said Sergei Ivanov, General Manager of ALROSA at the time.

The stone was named “Akinfeev” in honor of the goalkeeper of PFC CSKA and the Russian national football team. It is noteworthy that the diamond was discovered on the eve of the quarterfinals, where our team paved its way largely thanks to the brilliant play of Igor Akinfeev.

“Satellite V»

ALROSA decided to name it Sputnik V after mining a large precious diamond in honor of the world’s first registered vaccine based on the well-thought-out platform of the human adenovirus vector.

100.53 carat diamond with dimensions 27.15×28.81×29.56 mm has the shape of a flattened octahedron. It is mined in the parts of northern Yakutia, it has an intense light yellow color.

As noted by Sergey Ivanov, CEO and Chairman of the Board of ALROSA, diamonds of this size and color are a real miracle of nature. Therefore, we decided to name this exceptional crystal in honor of the first Russian coronavirus vaccine, which is also a miracle, but was created by our scientists. The appearance of a vaccine, and in the shortest possible time, is an extraordinary event, thanks to which we have the opportunity to return to normal life in the near future.

The exhibition will run from April 27 to May 18, 2022 from 10:00 to 17:00. Venue: exhibition space of the exhibition “Treasury of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)”, Yakutsk, street. Kirov, 12 (main entrance), 2nd floor.
