What are the secrets of Serebryany Bor in the northwest of Moscow: we are talking about the ecological paths of the capital

Serebryany Bor, open to visitors, is a natural monument of regional importance.

This natural corner is like a place where people know themselves as well as the whole world around them.

It is no coincidence that after a long day, having collapsed on a free bench inside Serebryany Bor, I want so much to close my eyes and hear the loud mantra of the birds. Sometimes it seems that you distinguish these sounds and you hear separate instruments with the whole orchestra as a background. For example, chewing gum usually plays the flute, gills play the piano, and tits play the clarinet. Well, and so on.

Add to this fresh air, spring primroses, perennial pines and the rustling of ducks somewhere in the reeds.

It is a great happiness that there are no businessmen here with endless hot dogs, carousels, ice creams, cotton candy. And not at all, of course, because entrepreneurs with all their kiosks and kiosks are not aware of going into nature (on the coastline – in the context of improving the beaches – all this is), but because the regime does not allow. Serebryany Bor is a specially protected natural area. In addition, it is very large – 328.6 hectares. Here live hares, beavers, squirrels, fireballs, ermines, hedgehogs, moles, weasels, otters. The flora includes about 400 species of plants. Sea bream, pike, shields, burgers are found in the lakes. Well, there is also a whole army of birds – from woodpeckers with tails to owls and owls.

According to fishermen, catches in local lakes are only suitable for cats.

And in the midst of this wealth, Mospriroda experts have carved two ecological paths – “On Lake Bezdonnogo” (passing through the largest reedbed in Moscow) and “In harmony with nature” (extending through a pine forest to the Lemeshevsky oak – the tree was named after opera singer Sergei Lemeshev).

Ecological trails are popular not only with humans but also with pets.

WALK WITH Cognitive slope

In general, the task of the ecological path is to combine business with pleasure. Not only to breathe fresh air, but also to acquire knowledge. Neither more nor less. There are information boards on each route. For the local flora and fauna, for the characteristics of the relief, for the historical past of this area. It turns out to be something like a tour. And for free.

In addition, there are stands with detailed instructions for feeding the birds. Really useful things. Especially against the background of the persistent ladies, who from time to time throw black bread at the ducks of the city.

First of all, it is not necessary to follow a clearly defined path (it is not a search, after all, with a valuable prize at the finish line). You can close the ecological path somewhere in the forest, on the side and then return to it again. Or in the middle of the first route, go straight to the second.

The Ornithological Tower is especially popular in Serebryany Bor. Six steps – and in front of you is the whole local landscape at a glance (along with a pine forest, wetlands and Lake Bezdonny). You can often see bird watchers upstairs (sorry for the word, but this is now the name of those who love to watch birds). The signs on the railings say that young people also love this place. Solid “Vasya + Katya” and “I love Ira”.

Further entertainment is the feeding of wild ducks, of which there are many (it is better to bring a puree of green vegetables and raw meat from home), watching the gray heron, if you are lucky, of course (you can also meet the family of hens, common terns, crested duck and other Red Book birds), fishing (cockroach meets over a kilo, there are sea bream and pike).
