Welcoming the participants, Deputy Prime Minister Nariman Abdulmutalibov noted the relevance of the ecological issue for Dagestan:

“Dagestan is gaining a lot of popularity in the tourism sector, so the issue of ecology is becoming more and more relevant for us. The area is located along the Caspian Sea, more than 4,000 different rivers flow here, so cleanliness and careful attitude towards water resources are very important to us. This action will serve to form an attitude of respect for nature and, in particular, for water resources. It will make us, the people of Dagestan, think about the need to respect natural resources, the need to love our country. Thank you to all the participants and the organizers for your contribution to the preservation of the ecology of our area “occurred Abdulmutalibov.

Roman Minukhin spoke about the experience of conducting this action in previous years. According to him, in 2021 alone, more than 1.1 million volunteers participated in the eco-subbotniks Water of Russia. The geography of the project is constantly expanding, attracting more and more participants. All 85 regions of Russia took part in the action. The volunteers cleaned 10,300 tanks and the amount of garbage collected exceeded 638,000 m³ – this volume can accommodate 67,160 KAMAZ trucks.

It’s very nice to have actions in such picturesque places. Today we will help make our cannons clearer. “Our concern for rivers, lakes, reservoirs, banks is a very important contribution.”– addressed Minukhin.

According Ibragim Ibragimova, the same events are currently taking place in three more places – at the Gunibsky and Goyktlinsky hydroelectric stations and at the Cherkeysky reservoir. He noted that the main goal of the action is not just the collection of garbage, but the planting of respect for nature.

“If we behave culturally, if there is cleanliness around us, then garbage will not accumulate along the shoreline of water resources. The most important thing is to pass on a piece of this culture to your children, relatives and friends. It all has to start with self-education. We hide the garbage where no one can see it, but nature makes it so that sooner or later everything goes to the banks of rivers and lakes. Therefore, purity must begin with us, with the purity of our heart.“, Said the minister.

Regional Governor Isa Nurmagomedov he also urged people to respect nature.

The actress also played Julia Michalkova: “I am very glad to see each of you, beautiful girls, charming men, thank you very much for coming today to express your love for nature.

You have many beautiful places in your area that become a tourist attraction. Today our task is to set the example for some rude tourists who take very tasty salted fish, but leave bags of garbage here. If they took garbage bags, then this would be the cleanest beach. To set an example? ” asked.

Participants in the subbotnik were representatives of public organizations, officials of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Dagestan, Rosvodresurs, educational institutions and administrations of the Untsukulsky, Akushinsky, Levashinsky, Laksky, Gergebilsky districts, students and residents. They were divided into groups of 10 for group garbage collection.

Garbage was classified into four categories – plastic, glass, metal and household waste. After the cleaning was completed, the results were summarized by measuring the volume of garbage collected.

The participants then ate pilaf by chef Untsukul and performed a concert by local artists.
