In Belgorod, four headquarters are to be renovated. Only works for them were available 183 million rubles. We have already written about the changes in Central Park, the street of the 50th anniversary of the Belgorod Region and the embankment of the Seversky Donets. The last object remained – the Bishop’s Grove, for the work of which the authorities are ready to spend 54.5 million rubles.
Purpose of improvement
In the work, the Bishop’s Grove is named primeval forest in the city. Among the features of the area there is a unique natural landscape, a sports attraction, a regional recreation area.
The main problems of the park are insecurity (lack of lighting, video surveillance and security), lack of infrastructure for comfortable hobbies, destruction of the landscape, isolation, because the park is built on all sides.
The main goal of the project is to make the grove a safe and environmentally friendly recreation area, but do not lose her identity. The untouched landscape and the unique ecosystem are noted as potential. The people of Belgorod must be attracted by the silence and the abundance of greenery.
Belts and routes
The park will be divided into zones – two entrances, sports, walking, water, children, event, extreme and rain lake.
There will be several walking paths in the park: sports, landscape, educational and easy walking for children. Basic principle: the higher the route, the more difficult it is. Since the stream is flat, the road near it will be for admiring nature.
Bridges, footbridges and canopies
To get through the park, it will be possible to use a suspension bridge, which they want to build from Gubkin Street to Bishops. It is believed that this will allow people to cross the grove more safely.

The flow itself will also improve. In its approach there will be amphitheaters where you can sit and relax. In some places the current becomes very strong. In such places the banks will be further strengthened and in order to slow down the flow small concrete bridges will appear which will stop the flow.

For comfortable walks in the park, 442 meters of hanging paths will be created. With their help the visitors of the Grove will pass calm gorges and plains. For the safety of those who walk in such constructions, 1.2 meters high railings will be installed.

They want to equip the rain lake, but keep the land untouched. To do this, corridors will appear around the perimeter. Walking along them, it will be possible to examine the flora and fauna of the tank. In the spring, the stream overflows, so the water in the lake rises. In order not to interfere with the walks, the corridors will be raised above the ground. They will have benches with awnings for relaxing on the lake.

Main entrance group
Several important functions will be implemented on this site: parking, bicycle rental, cafeteria, recreation area after a walk in the park.
Due to the peculiarities of the terrain, it is difficult for visitors to the park to descend the steep stairs. To facilitate, a system of stairs and ramps will be arranged. They will go down to the lowest level of the park, where there is a meeting and rest area next to the stream.
“Forest Square” zone.
Stairs and ramps that go from the main entrance go down to the “forest square”. It will have plenty of space – for small events, for yoga and relaxation.
Immediately on a level space will be equipped a space for children and a picnic area. Also for the entertainment of the visitors there will be swings and ping pong courts 128.5 m².
lookout tower
One of the main points of interest in the park will be a large observation tower. It will offer a view of the grove. The balconies will stand out from the large and monumental building, which will prove to be places of view. For convenience, the tower will be installed on a hill – the view will be even better.

Playground and ecological school
This area will be divided into four zones: a playground for children aged 8-12, a space for parents, a playground for children under the age of seven and another space for parents.
Eco-school – this will be a branch of green schools that will be created throughout the city as part of the city improvement project. Here they will study the forest flora and fauna.
Extreme cycling belt
Even now, extreme sports enthusiasts have created a cycling infrastructure in the park. Designers should consider this request and create a professional velobike track. Other visitors, if they wish, will be able to watch extreme lovers from the observation deck.
