The choice fell on this institution because of the idea – a family restaurant, which means that the cuisine should be varied, delicious and the price should not be too high. This is just a shame from the name: they remembered a terrible character-virus called “Momo”. What if this ugly misunderstanding meets us at the entrance and hits us with something in the head…
But everything turned out nice, calm and quite comfortable. The waiter spoke in detail about the history of the name. Everything is very simple – the peach in Japanese is “momo” and this is the favorite fruit of the Crimea. But in Spanish, “momo” is a “grimace” (see above for the virus), but did not quarrel further with the waiter. Let there be a “peach”, only delicious and inexpensive.
By the way, the peach theme is also supported inside the installation. In “MOMO” the space is successfully divided into many locations. There is a bar counter, space for children, places for banquet and relaxation. Everything is fresh, light and light, there are memorable items, such as flowers on the windowsills, panels on the walls, napkin cases under the brand name MOMO. There is no closet at first, people in outerwear walk into the room (and this is a family restaurant, not a train station).
I am always confused by the dust bag in restaurants. There is a dilemma: convenient, but unpleasant. In the restaurant are available, on the balcony – blankets. The music at the institution is calm, not annoying. The view of the bay from the panoramic windows is beautiful – it is like a kaleidoscope, from which it is difficult to detach yourself.

The service at MOMO is friendly and welcoming. There were very few guests that day and everyone could get a lot of attention. And also use the “tempting” trick – serve as a compliment to the bun. Consumption is low, but the guest is happy. Look, they would have come .. We paid for the buns.
Due to his official duties, our waiter is obliged to praise everything on the menu, but he was very generous in praising some delicious delicacies. They are popular with visitors.
The first dishes appear on the table in 20 minutes. We asked them to bring it as soon as it was ready. And here is the first trick of the restaurant – there are no photos and photos of dishes in the menu, only names and descriptions of what should be there. Do what you want, then try to find the wrong one … Maybe it saves resources, or maybe it’s such a marketing ploy.
“Walk, so walk” – we decided and ordered a drink. However, there was no such drink on the wine list. Vodka, wine, cocktails … but there was no drink. Okay, let’s take a sober look at what’s going on.

Usually in Finland, and not only in this country, fish soup is made from fish, traditionally from salmon. In our case, the fish did not promise. The Finns would shudder. Finnish creamy fish soup was transferred to a huge plate. The watery, saturated, creamy texture and fishiness were not felt. In addition to the ear came 4 small potato croquettes and a little sweet and sour sauce. I have a question: “Where will you find such huge dishes?”. The contents of the plate and the dimensions were incompatible with each other. It was already awkward and ugly to remove the soup residue from the bottom of the plate.
At the same time, the ear in combination with cream turned out to be tender. But there was very little seafood and it was upset. As mentioned above, it is liquid.
A counter opened in my head, who discovered that the dish was unreasonably expensive: one and a half shrimp, a few mussels in shell, squid slices, cherry tomatoes and pieces of celery. And all this is more than 700 rubles ?! It was possible to throw shellfish at the guests.

On the advice of the waiter, we ordered “Fried eggplants in Pan-Asian sauce” (465 grated.) Crushed tomato, melted cream in parmesan. On the plate all the ingredients looked colorful, shiny and delicious, with their own character and taste. With our own eyes, we immediately ate this luxury. Eggplant pieces lured with their softness. The cream melted in parmesan, which softened the moderately salty and spicy aubergines, did not disappoint either. Excellent, you neither add nor subtract.

To be honest, I’ve not been friends with these predators for a long time. I had a bitter experience with them – every time the dishes turned out to be rubbery and tasteless. In general, I do not like this predator, which with the help of its muscular leg infects its mates, opens the doors for them.
The waiter tempted us with an offer to order Black Sea fish in batter and without it, but we remained steadfast in our positions – radishes.
Our stew was excellent: the mollusk is not very cooked, maintaining its best qualities and stage image. The Shiitake mushrooms and the accompanying broccoli mousse did not disappoint us – quite suitable and even delicious. It is immediately obvious – the author’s approach.
In the middle of the dish he rested discreetly and modestly the Japanese rice. There was a pleasant proportion on the plate – generous radishes and rice in moderation. The waiter offered to mix everything into a salad. It turned out to be an interesting combination: the radish kept the best on its own and, in harmony with the cream, playing in the receivers, turned the composition into a symphony orchestra. It is only necessary to collect each ingredient on a fork and try this bouquet immediately. The author’s dish was a success.

“Drunk chicken in Madeira sauce” (485 rubles) served with mashed potatoes and spinach. I wonder if the chicken was already drunk when they put it in the sauce or the neighborhood could not stand the green puree and got drunk in the process of meeting?
When serving a dish with a mysterious name, a question arose: what exactly did the author mean? But without thinking, it was necessary to look for the same drunk baby. And we found it – two pieces of chicken fillet, tender and soft, resting on a green field with potatoes. My puree looked sour. I asked this question to the waiter, to which I received the answer: “Probably because of the mushrooms”. Yes, but nothing is said about the presence of mushrooms on the plate. We decided not to focus on this point, there were very few nanostats of a small bird and there was no risk of poisoning.

Everything is healthy and fragrant: viscous falernum syrup based on cane sugar, black chia seeds, which save you from obesity and other diseases. I open the counter and realize that the price is also slightly overpriced and over 250 rubles. does not add up at all. Well, expensive tea needs the same classy dessert.
“Fondant ink with a scoop of ice cream” (365 rubles) – I would like to say a few flattering words about this wonderful dessert. It could very well push acacias like cheesecakes and yogurt desserts.
The cake is made in contrast: a hot cupcake with liquid chocolate filling and cold ice cream. It seems that the chef tried and did everything according to the rules of gastronomic art. The chocolate filling flowed spectacularly from the cupcake and joined with the ice cream in a slow tango. This dish is kindly served with a dessert spoon.

It’s time for a visit to the toilet. Many restaurant guests go there to take selfies. I do not know why this is, but it is true.
At MOMO, you need a ticket with a code number to use the toilet. A few words about this cabinet. It is located right in front of the restaurant entrance, and the latter is located in the city center. Is the train of thought clear? There are several people who want to visit this place. Therefore, they issue a ticket with a number only for guests, go and keyboards, as in a safe, a number. If luck smiles, the office will open. I was immediately unlucky and called the waitress for help. We did it together. The operation lasted five minutes. A few words about the condition of the bathroom: clean, comfortable, everything you need for adults and children is available. I was glad that I left the office without any problems, following the instructions of the instructions.
Summary: The foundation makes a good impression with the integrity of the idea and its level of implementation. Of course, we still have to work in the kitchen, some dishes cause surprise and desire to penetrate the thoughts of their creators. Names can be played, but not flirted with.
I liked the serving of the dishes at MOMO: elegant and beautiful. As Gilyarovsky wrote: “The merchants went to the tavern for a surprise”. I did not feel emotions and this was exactly the surprise: there were few visitors, it was boring, just for fun seeing seascape and a search with a toilet. From “MOMO” I got only one set of carbohydrates, proteins, but no emotions. If you repeat the trip to this institution, you can again order eggplant, radishes, sweets and admire the evening seascape. Cheap, fancy and boring.
