Residents of Pichtovka village prepare for protest action due to the road that was destroyed by timber trucks

Residents of Pikhtovka in the Kolyvansky district are launching a protest campaign against the road destroyed by heavy trucks, which is the only road from the village to the regional center. Apart from Pikhtovka, several other settlements were almost cut off from the “mainland” – recently an ambulance found it difficult to get there. Outraged citizens have already sent complaints to the prosecutor’s office, including the general, as well as to the administration of the President of Russia.

The Kolyvan – Pikhtovka motorway is being destroyed more and more every day by heavy trucks transporting timber. This route is the only way many villages and hamlets communicate with the regional center. The 63 km of the road is a dirt road in a swampy area, which is easily exposed to natural effects on very hot days. As a result, instead of a flat path, residents and visitors to the settlements have to cross hills and potholes, and sometimes even use a shovel to pull out their car.

On this subject Sibkrai.ru narrated in detail on June 3, but only five days later the situation worsened. Many cars, including an ambulance, got stuck on the road that broke wood.

“In the beginning we had heavy rains that rained down on the earth, then the sun came out – everything dried up, – shared with Sibkrai.ru resident of the village Pikhtovka Svetlana Kirova. – My husband and I had to get to Kolyvan, which turned out to be a real adventure: first we had to figure out how to get out and then how to get back. We usually drive a VAZ-2107. And you can imagine what would happen to her if she got into this mess – we had to dig it out.

Locals also say heavy trucks destroyed the road in other areas – near the villages of Boyarka and Malchikha. Because of this, there was even an incident when an ambulance got stuck – fortunately, the doctors were able to reach the patient in time.

“Residents of the northern part of the district do not know how to get to Kolyvan by car. Bus passengers risk their lives and health on a daily basis, as it is easy to fly off the road, – Anastasia Varlygina, a private guest of the village of Pichtovka, is indignant. – “People are very angry with the administration and the situation in general.”

The woman notes that after the post Sibkrai.ru the lumberjacks “urgently began clearing the forests”, meaning there were more overloaded trucks on the road. Residents of the area are convinced that logging is illegal. In addition, the villagers did their own research and found that the drivers did not have the necessary documents such as a doctor’s license, travel documents.

I believe that all this reserve belongs to a very important “hit”, since it is still not clear why the administration and the road services are hiding. If they do everything until the end, then we will definitely be left without the last way “. says Anastasia.

As Evgeny Glukhov, a resident of Pikhtovka, explained to Sibkray.ru, logging in the Kolyvan region took place back in the Soviet Union, but a specific technology was always observed, which did not lead to the destruction of the road.

“There was always a certain order in the harvesting and exporting of timber, which was simply dictated by common sense: the timber was prepared in the winter and taken out on the winter road, while the ground was frozen. In addition, most of it was exported along the railway line. “Everything has changed this year in 2022.” says Glukhov.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Novosibirsk Region responded to a request from Sibkray.ru that logging is carried out legally: logging in the Kolyvansky area is carried out by SHP Prostor LLC, Lesstroytrans LLC and Ritm LLC on the basis of lease contracts plots.

However, the residents of the Kolyvansky district decided to fight the road destroyers on their own. People of the initiative from the villages of Pikhtovka, Korolevka and Ponomarevka and other neighboring villages sent a collective complaint to the district and to the Prosecutor General’s Office, as well as to the administration of the President of the Russian Federation.

The villagers will not be limited to paperwork and plan to make a public appeal to the authorities during the Siberian Fire Festival, which will be attended not only by visitors from the Novosibirsk region, but also from other regions.

“There we wanted to address our administration, because until today the residents can not leave the villages by car, but also because the destruction of the road has not stopped! says Anastasia. – By the way, we have already learned from some sources, after the publicity, that the administration ordered our police to order OMON for the holiday.

Remember that until recently the road Kolyvan – Pikhtovka was relatively flat – so say the drivers. The problems started with the onset of hot weather in 2022, when timber trucks went to work – trucks loaded with logs deformed the primer. Now even heavy trucks go underground. The road became impassable. The Regional Highway Administration appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Novosibirsk Region and asked for help in maintaining the road and protecting it from damage by heavy trucks.
