Foods for the home. What is at stake in preventive medicine of the future?

Pharmacology uses the experience of observation and study that has accumulated over the centuries

About one of the main modern trends, which offers an answer to the question “what to do to be healthy?” says the Doctor of Biological Sciences, head. Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies (VGUIT) Korneeva Olga Sergeevna.

Medications or health?

Pharmacology in its modern form appeared from the beginning of the 20th century. By influencing the body from the outside, he used the experience accumulated over the centuries of observing and studying the body’s reactions to certain chemicals.

Pharmacology (Greek “Pharmacon” – medicine) is a science that studies the interaction of chemical compounds of biological and non-biological origin with human and animal organs.

The rapid development of chemistry and biology in the 1920s and 1930s. – and, most importantly, the new technologies for the industrial synthesis of such substances – made them a tool for the mass “normalization of the well-being” of the population of the industrialized countries.

This approach fit in perfectly with the principles of healthcare systems of the time. Synthetic bulk drugs are cheap, easy to produce, accessible to the public and effective. Gradually, however, with the development of medicine and the increase of the quality of life, the perception and assessment of the consequences of this approach changed.

“We cure one thing, we cripple the other”, “side effects”, “we fed them pills” – everyone has heard such expressions from friends (and from many doctors). Why; Because even doctors admit: “normalization of well-being” has replaced the concept of “cure”.

How do we “take care” today

The mechanism of inhibitory action of modern medicinal products is as follows:

Stimulation. This is an artificially induced response of the body in the form of activating certain of its functions. For example, increased production of a specific hormone or cell type (T-killers, if we are talking about oncology or immune diseases), etc.

Suppression. On the contrary, it is the inhibition of certain reactions of the organism. The simplest example is an anesthetic chemical that inhibits the passage of nerve impulses or the use of antibiotics.

By combining these two types of influences, certain results can be achieved. But we must understand: the body is always resistant to chemistry. The consequence of this is the failures of the “internal regulation” of the body systems, the transition of diseases to a chronic form and many side effects. Driving into the disease is doubly dangerous.

Starting in the early 2000s, it becomes clear: the normal attitude of modern man towards drugs must change. First of all, because of the ambiguity of their effects on the body, when the benefits barely outweigh the harm, especially with uncontrolled intake.

A new direction in medicine has emerged – personalized therapy. At its core, these are laboratory studies of the effectiveness of drugs prescribed for certain diseases. The simplest – sowing in the flora with the definition of antibiotic susceptibility. Unfortunately, the mechanism of action of drugs in humans has not changed.

“I’m sick – I’ll take a pill” is a habit based on body imbalance and leads to automation. And this imbalance continues for decades, without causing the slightest concern to people – until it is too late.

Uncontrolled intake of dietary supplements is also common and in fact should be prescribed only by a doctor and only in cases of acute deficiency conditions.

What is the risk of taking medication and taking uncontrolled dietary supplements and vitamins

To answer this question, it suffices to recall the basic principles of physiology.

One of them is that the body is a system with a self-regulating internal environment. The easiest and most obvious way to compare is with a gyroscope, which always returns to its equilibrium position.

The concept of regulating the internal environment was first described by the French physiologist Claude Bernard (1849) and the American physiologist Walter Cannon (1926) called it “homeostasis”.

What is homeostasis? Simply put, this is the state of the body’s optimal functioning – the very balance in which every cell works in the best possible way.

It is very easy to get the body out of this situation with an overdose of substances. But restoring this “gyroscope” to equilibrium is much more difficult. Hence, failures in metabolism, in the work of the immune system, chronic pathologies in the work of the stomach and intestines due to disturbed microflora, etc. And in general, any disease is a consequence of an imbalance in the work of one or the other system of the body.

Is taking medication also a risk factor for developing diseases?

The body knows better

It all depends on which of the evils is the smallest. Of course, there are situations where the body can not resist the disease. Then drug treatment becomes necessary, even in spite of the harm it has caused. But it is extremely important to remove the body from the treatment properly, to restore the internal balance.

And in most cases, the best medicine is to trust the body’s self-regulating mechanism. Judge for yourself our body:

• Better than any specialist understands where the “gyroscope” deviation occurred.

• Knows how and with what help to restore balance.

• Ability to compensate for the deviation of the “gyroscope” (compensation of the damage caused to the body).

Some modern studies, books and publications of scientists (such as J. Church) prove that this approach becomes the basis of modern personalized medicine and the concept of a healthy lifestyle in developed countries.

“Give the body what it needs and let it deal with the problem on its own” – physiology and medicine will develop in this direction over the next 30-50 years.

Back to the Future

Obviously, food is the most natural (and, therefore, effective) way to supply the body with the substances it needs. But no food can restore the body to its optimal, balanced state. Especially taking into account the origin of modern foods and the way they are grown and produced.

The food that is able to give the body everything it needs to be in optimal condition, the harmony of organs and systems, is called “home food” (from “homeostasis” – “balance, homeostasis” and “food” – “food »). That is, in fact, such food is a “cure for all diseases.”

“Homeofood” is a term first coined by biochemist Anatoly Khitrov, head of NPO BIT’s Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. With the advent of such a concept, the words of Hippocrates from the distant past that food should be our medicine acquire a new meaning in the future of medicine.

What is unique about homemade food?

Some properties and characteristics of household foods that will allow you to find the right one for regular use:

Absolutely natural composition. A person is a part of nature and his body can be effectively restored only when he uses products created by nature.

Maximum value. It is important to understand that household foods are not just useful plants or animal products. Homeofod is a product in which the benefits of natural raw materials are maximized due to the composition and, above all, with the help of modern technologies. They allow you to maximize the absorption of useful substances by the body, because we can not fully assimilate many products due to the fact that by nature we do not have enzymes to break them down.

Let’s take an example. Everyone knows that brown seaweed is one of the most useful products, due to the absolute leading position in the composition of nutrients among plants on the planet. But in its natural form, seaweed dried or chopped in a salad is not a home-made food: due to poor digestion due to a dense shell that our body can not digest, we can absorb it only by 10-15%.

But seaweed can be turned into home-made food – that is, all its beneficial substances can be fully available to the body. To do this, it is necessary to process it so that the barrier in the form of cellulose, which is part of the cell wall of the plant and which a person can not assimilate due to lack of suitable enzyme for breakdown, ceases to be an obstacle. the body’s access to all the substances that make up brown algae. . To do this, there is a patented enzyme hydrolysis technology, owned by one of the Russian companies, NPO BIT. In this case, our body easily absorbs the entire complex of valuable substances of this plant, the composition of which has no analogues.

The resulting product is very similar to human blood plasma, which allows us to conclude that it is extremely necessary in the modern diet.

Designed for all age groups. The body’s homeostasis system needs resources for self-regulation, rehabilitation and self-healing at any age. This is the most important principle of personalized homeostatic medicine, which understands very well that each organism is individual, has unique characteristics and has a mechanism, using the capabilities of which you can achieve your goal. They, in turn, depend on age.

High bioavailability The nutrients of home food are an ideal tool for homeostasis, which does not focus on excluding the symptoms of diseases, but on their prevention.

Home-made foods make this possible in the most natural and effective way. Make food your medicine and your health will be possible at any age!
