A refreshing lemonade on a warm afternoon or an artistic cocktail overlooking the Kremlin’s evening lights: get up over the city traffic and hustle and bustle at any time – a luxury everyone can afford at the renovated O2 Lounge on the roof of The Ritz -Carlton.
The panoramic view from the height of the 12th floor of the hotel to the center not only of Moscow but also of Russia – the Kremlin, Manezhnaya Square and Tverskaya Street – stuns not only visitors to the city, but even experienced native Muscovites . This year, the summer terrace of the O2 Lounge by Genesis has been transformed into a “Garden of Balance”: this is what restaurant manager Biljana Jovanovic calls the concept of the renovated space. Bathtubs with many rare plants have appeared here, among which one can find, for example, alpine currant, honeysuckle or berry.
Moscow-based artist Alexandra Weld Queen is responsible for the artistic element of the garden, providing unusual works of art in the form of interactive swings for decoration and guest DJs and musicians for the music venue. You can look down on the Kremlin ruby stars to the relaxing DJ tracks at sunset, sitting in comfortable chairs or on sun loungers and swings in the second part of the terrace. In the center of the space, there is an open kitchen with the slogan Eat good, feel good !, so that guests can watch the well-coordinated work of the gastronomic team of the accommodation.

The main surprise of the season at the O2 Lounge restaurant is the new chef Lucas Julien-Vozelle, who arrived a few months ago from France and took over as director of the hotel’s gastronomic service. Luca grew up in the highly gastronomic area of Bordeaux, graduated from the Paul Bocuse Culinary Institute in Lyon and even studied with Bocuse and Jean-Pierre Vigato in restaurants with two and three Michelin stars. In his 17 years as a chef, he has worked in luxury hotels and gourmet restaurants around the world, from Spain and Tanzania to Haiti and Australia. Now, under his leadership, there is not only the rooftop restaurant of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Moscow, but also a lobby bar and a champagne bar on the ground floor. And together with nutritionist Marina Bessonova, Luca developed a wellness menu for hotel guests with careful and balanced combinations of ingredients in the dishes. Includes, for example, Antistress quinoa salad, Antiage smoothie, Omega 3-6-9 avocado sandwich and other health and beauty dishes.

To get an impression of Japanese cuisine, you should pay attention to the successes – salmon tataki (800 rubles), branded O2 rolls (1800 rubles) or the Rainbow set (2100 rubles).
